this is another part of a series i have been working on combining geometry with the spacey busts. the base is made out of an icosahedron, then carving it into one of my favorite abstractions. the top character is a spacey bust version of nest portal. this piece looks good in both orientations. it has a good balance of structure and playfulness. it is grounding, centering and transporting. carved from a single piece of monkey pod wood.
